The Growers - Hand Crafted Wines

Dedication Series Manjimup Pinot Noir 2004

Limited production ultra premium regional wine.

John and Sue Ward's Angelicus vineyard, now officially located in the Pemberton wine region, was selected as the grape source of production for this outstanding Pinot Noir. Why? First and foremost they are Pinofiles - passionate about everything to do with Pinot, and secondly, they are great people. The wine has been dedicated to David Paxton, hands on vigneron extraordinaire who has taught Phil May so much about premium grape production, including some of the pitfalls associated with premium Pinot Noir grape production.

A ripe, rich style of Pinot that oozes the velvety mouthfeel sought by Pinot Noir makers. Light brick red in colour and clear. Aromas include dark cherry, strawberry, smoky bacon and toasty oak. The new oak influences are evident on the palate where the cherry characters are beautifully supported by the vanillin oak characters. Silky smooth and fully endorsed by the winemaker!

Dedication Series

The Dedication Series was initiated as a range designed to showcase the individuality of some of the fruit parcels from given regional vineyards of Western Australia. At the same time it gave The Growers' founder, Phil May, the opportunity to acknowledge a few of the people that have played an important part in his life.
